ValuSoft used to be a division of THQ, Inc established in 1997 at Minneapilis, MN. They would dedicate on publishing casual games for the PC market at a discount price. As THQ would go in a downfall in 2012, this division was purchased by Cosmi, merging into ValuSoft Cosmi.

Nihon Bussan Co. Ltd. was a Japanese video game developer and publisher headquartered in Kita, Osaka. In the past they had also manufactured and sold yachts. The main video game brand of the company was Nichibutsu (日物、ニチブツ), with adult video games (mainly strip mahjong arcade games) coming under the Sphinx (スフィンクス) brand. The company used a horned owl for its official logo. In March 2014, Nihon Bussan sold its video game library to Hamster Corporation due to the decision of original founder Sueharu Torii to retire. The company was disbanded on December 15, 2015.

Psygnosis Limited (known as SCE Studio Liverpool or simply Studio Liverpool from 1999) was a British video game developer and publisher headquartered at Wavertree Technology Park in Liverpool. Founded in 1984 by Ian Hetherington, Jonathan Ellis, and David Lawson, the company initially became known for well-received games on the Atari ST and Commodore Amiga. In 1993, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and began developing the original PlayStation and later became a part of SCE Worldwide Studios. The company was the oldest and second largest development house within SCE's European stable of developers, and became best known for franchises such as Lemmings, Wipeout, Formula One, and Colony Wars.

Hi Tech Expressions (later Hi Tech Entertainment) was an American video game publisher headquartered in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The company was established in 1986. During the course of its existence, the company published primarily juvenile-oriented games. While it published a few adolescent-oriented games including The Hunt for Red October and War in Middle Earth (derived from the classic book The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien), it could not shake its reputation for publishing games marketed towards children. It was closed down in 1995.

KSS Inc. (株式会社ケイエスエス, Kabushiki-gaisha Kei Esu Esu) was a Japanese company that provided anime studio services including production, music, subtitles and translation. From 1993 to 2001, it also developed and published video games. The company was founded as Kamakura Super Station Inc. (株式会社鎌倉スーパーステーション, Kabushiki-gaisha Kamakura Sūpā Sutēshon) with KSS being its abbreviation. The company changed its name to KSS Inc. in the early 1990s. In 2004, KSS went bankrupt and sold its assets to Softgarage.
