In 1989, Warner Communications merged with Time Inc., forming Time Warner. In 1993, Time Warner reacquired a controlling interest in Atari Games and made it a subsidiary of its Time Warner Interactive division. While the company initially maintained the Atari Games brand for arcade games under the new ownership, the Tengen brand was dropped in favor of the Time Warner Interactive label. In mid-1994, the Atari Games, Tengen, and Time Warner Interactive Group names were all consolidated under the Time Warner Interactive banner.

Santa Ragione is an Italian micro game design studio founded by Pietro Righi Riva and Nicolò Tedeschi in 2010, creators of FOTONICA, MirrorMoon EP, and Wheels of Aurelia. Santa Ragione’s games focus on achieving a visceral response from the player, whether through the desolate landscapes of MirrorMoon EP, the uncompromising, vertigo-inducing speeds of FOTONICA, or the controversial politics in Wheels of Aurelia. The studio has a unique, experimental approach to accessibility that encourages exploration and personal interpretation, to achieve surprising depth. Santa Ragione’s inspiration comes equally from literature classics, evocative electronica, and contemporary art, to strive and stand out stylistically and continue the tradition of Italian design.
G-MODE
G-mode Co., Ltd. is a Japanese studio specializing in game content for mobile networks. It became especially known for acquiring the back catalogue of Data East Corporation with more than 40 classic games. The company currently licenses the content for re-releases of classic games on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, GameTap, and mobile games, but also releases of classic games on more modern platforms. In January 2014, all shares in the company were acquired by ONE-UP Co., Ltd., and on March 2014 the company was merged completely into ONE-UP, with ONE-UP renaming themselves to G-mode.

Erbe Software
Erbe Software was one of the main video game developers and distributors in Spain during the golden age of Spanish software. It was founded in 1984 by Andrew Bagney and Paco Pastor In its beginnings, Erbe was a developer that launched titles like "Las tres luces de Glaurung" in 1986, and Whopper Chase, commissioned by the multinational Burger King for give it away to their clients, in 1989, which will be their last development before dedicating herself exclusively to distribution. Erbe's internal development team then moved to Topo Soft. Erbe Software distributed to many of the leading national and international video game houses of the time, such as Topo Soft, Nintendo, Ocean Software, U.S. Gold, Imagine, Mikro Gen, Ultimate, SEGA, Lucasfilm Games, among others. February 2, 1993, an arson, according to the Madrid fire department destroys the company's warehouse in Móstoles, destroying some 50,000 Game Boy and Super Nintendo consoles. Between February 24 and March 3, 1993, Erbe suffered a serious crisis in which he lost the exclusive distribution of Nintendo, one of his most important accounts. At the end of the 90s, Erbe was absorbed by Anaya Interactiva and disappeared as a brand. Shortly after, Anaya sold what was left of the company to Havas Interactive, owned by what is now Activision Blizzard.

Sintax Technology Co., Ltd (新特奇科技有限公司) is a company that produced games mostly for the Game Boy Color and some for the Game Boy Advance. It was founded in Taichung, Taiwan, and originally developed educational PC software, and established operations in China at some point in the early 2000s. Some of its earliest games are credited to BBD on the title screen, but Sintax appears to have moved to internal development later on. BBD credits are often removed in the non-Chinese releases.

Interplay Productions
Interplay Productions was founded by ex-Boone Corporation employees in October 1983. They started with relatively small projects such as software conversions and even military contracting. It would be from 1984 that they would start to create text adventures along with Activision. The company would eventually go in more ambitious and original ventures such as Wasteland, which would become the foundation of its much better known successor nine years later: Fallout. Down the line, Interplay would start to publish games from other developers that would earn the respect of players around the world: EarthWorm jim by Shining Entertainment, and Baldur's Gate by BioWare. n 1998, Interplay's financial issues went dire. The company threatened to be placed under bankruptcy due to status in the banktruptcy court. To avert bankruptcy, Interplay went public on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the name Interplay Entertainment.
