In 2008, when its parent company Vivendi Games merged with Activision to form Activision Blizzard, the entire Sierra Online division was dissolved.

Aques (acronym of Advanced Quality Entertainment and Sports, as well an acronym of Square) was a brand used by Square for publishing non-RPG titles such as sports games. First used on Pro-Logic Mah-Jong Hai-Shin, released January 31, 1997, the name was used on six more PlayStation titles, all of them Japan-exclusive. The latest game under this label was Power Stakes 2, published on April 9, 1998. After that date, the name was never used again.
