The company's initial focus was arcade action games, but in 1996 the company's focus shifted to bishōjo games. The company filed for bankruptcy in November 2006, and it was announced in February 2007 that CyberFront had acquired the rights to the KID brand and its entire game catalogue. Most of the development staff regrouped at 5pb., which would eventually regain the rights to several of KID's bishōjo game properties. At its height, the company employed around 50 people. In 2006, KID's offices are closed. The following day, the papers for voluntary dissolution of the company are handed in at the Tokyo regional court. In 2007, CyberFront bought the rights to the KID brand, its franchises and related properties such as source codes, thereby resurrecting the company.
