60 Minutes to Extinction: Escape Room

07 octobre 2025

« This game felt similar to solo'ing a real physical escape room game of difficulty 9/10. It was fun and challenging. The 60 minute timer is definitely stressful, but that pressure is part of the fun of being in an escape room game. I'm an escape room veteran who has solo'ed rooms before, and I barely beat this one. There's a lot of reading manuals. Not much guesswork involved except for a little bit in the final area. Definitely not for the faint of heart. It is cheaper than paying $60 for an actual escape room. »

Seriously. I gave it several chances. The problem isn't the core idea itself. While it's hardly original, it's still a good concept. The riddles and puzzles are solid as well. Graphics, sound, and presentation are all perfectly acceptable. No, the real problem is that it feels like it was programmed with someone's feet. The interface and mechanics aren't particularly good to begin with, which is already a problem considering today's standards, the competition, and the genre itself. But as if that weren't enough, the game is packed with bugs, both small and large, that constantly get in the way and drain any enjoyment from the experience. So no, I can't recommend **** even for free. Which is a shame. »
