In the future, humans have left Earth and settled throughout the galaxy. On Mars, the Union Aerospace Corporation has established a radioactive waste facility and allowed the military to conduct teleportation experiments on the nearby moons of Deimos and Phobos. Hours ago, the base on Mars began receiving incoherent distress messages from Phobos, while Deimos has disappeared completely. With all attempts to establish contact failing, you and your team have been dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, you secure the perimeter as the rest of your team enters the facility. As you stand guard, your radio crackles with the sound of gunfire, cracking bones and blood-curdling screams and eventually falls silent. Alone, with no way off the planet or means to defend yourself other than your trusty pistol, there’s only one way out - into the complex of death and the horrors that await you within. If you plan to get out of here alive you must fend off the hordes of demonic imps, haunting spectres and your undead, former comrades waiting to tear you limb from limb. So, grab the nearest shotgun and blast your way out of this fragging madness!
Histoire (IGDB)
The player takes the role of a marine (unnamed to further represent the person playing), "one of Earth's toughest, hardened in combat and trained for action", who has been incarcerated on Mars after assaulting a senior officer when ordered to fire upon civilians. There, he works alongside the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC), a multi-planetary conglomerate and military contractor performing secret experiments on interdimensional travel. Recently, the teleportation has shown signs of anomalies and instability, but the research continues nonetheless. Suddenly, something goes wrong and creatures from hell swarm out of the teleportation gates on Deimos and Phobos. A defensive response from base security fails to halt the invasion, and the bases are quickly overrun by monsters; all personnel are killed or turned into zombies A military detachment from Mars travels to Phobos to investigate the incident. The player is tasked with securing the perimeter, as the assault team and their heavy weapons are brought inside. Radio contact soon ceases and the player realizes that he is the only survivor. Being unable to pilot the shuttle off of Phobos by himself, the only way to escape is to go inside and fight through the complexes of the moon base.

Cette suite encensée par les joueurs fut l'occasion pour ces derniers de faire connaissance avec le Super Shotgun, la célèbre Icône du Péché et un rythme de FPS encore plus intense.
TNT: Evilution
L'UAC a transféré son centre d'expérimentation sur l'une des lunes de Jupiter. Un vaisseau, pris pour un cargo de ravitaillement, a obtenu l'autorisation d'atterrir, mais à l'approche du complexe, une horde de démons s'en sont échappés. Tous vos camarades ont été massacrés ou transformés en zombies. Cette fois, il n'est pas question de survivre, mais bien de se venger.
The Plutonia Experiment
Les plus grands scientifiques de la nation ont fait tout leur possible pour fermer les sept portails interdimensionnels des enfers, mais un portail n'a pas encore été refermé. Seul, vous devez infiltrer la base dévastée, vaincre le démon Gardien du portail et sceller le dernier portail des enfers avant que les morts-vivants n'envahissent le monde entier.
Master Levels for DOOM II
Cette extension comprend vingt niveaux supplémentaires bourrés d'action où vous devrez affronter les mêmes créatures immondes des enfers que dans le titre original. Chaque niveau a été conçu par des créateurs indépendants et supervisés par id Software.
Sigil
Créé par le co-fondateur d'id Software, John Romero, et sorti sous forme de mod de la taille d'un épisode consistant en 18 nouvelles cartes, Sigil se situe chronologiquement entre DOOM (1993) et DOOM II. Baphomet, le gardien de l'Enfer, a “détraqué le téléporteur final à l'aide d'un sceau caché, et son sinistre pouvoir vous a envoyé dans les entrailles de l'Enfer. Vous allez devoir survivre à cette enclave stygienne du mal pour affronter les messagers ultimes de Satan, puis regagner la Terre en sauveur.”
Legacy of Rust
Créé en collaboration par id Software, Nightdive Studios et MachineGames, Legacy of Rust est un nouvel épisode pour DOOM et le premier épisode officiel depuis DOOM II à inclure de nouveaux démons et armes. Cet épisode de 16 cartes est divisé en deux sections de 8 cartes : The Vulcan Abyss et Counterfeit Eden.

Update as of 4/29: Sigil II music pitch has been corrected. Thanks to everybody who reached out! SIGIL II SIGIL II is now officially included as part of the DOOM + DOOM II package. It is available from the game select menu at startup. Note: Save games from the Mods version are not compatible with the officially included version. However, the existing Mods version will remain online to users subscribed to it. « It can’t match the visuals of other releases, but at the same time I don’t think it makes any major sacrifices that keep the experience from being enjoyable. Just be aware that there is a considerable difference between the Switch and PS4/Xbox One versions visually, and I think you’ll be fine. »
« DOOM left an amazingly good impression, and became my favorite shooter since... hmmm... Black or the Killzone trilogy? That sounds right; first-person shooters or games that are violent simply for violence's sake fell out of my favor in my 20s, so it is rare than one gets anything more than a passing "meh" from me. But DOOM is really something special. It's faster than 95% of the shooters I've played, and more intense than nearly all of them. The exploration, huge stages and mountains of collectibles and upgrades set it aside from the average "kill everything, move on" shooters, and the glory kills make dispatching bad guys as satisfying a treat as it's ever been in any other game before it. The in-game map is a huge pain and the multiplayer is a GB-hogging snoozefest, but those are literally the only downsides I see. Every adult Switch owner except for the most squeamish, should have DOOM in their cartridge slot or installed on their SD card. In a whirlwind year for the Switch and AAA releases, DOOM stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the big boys, and missing out on it would be a crime. »
