Gothic 3
Gothic 3

« The game manages to blend just the right amounts of combat, NPC interaction, character development, exploration, and epic save-the-world storytelling into the sort of potion that your typical beardie will gulp down with wild-eyed abandon. [Dec 2006, p.94] »
« The sunrises and sunsets as just as beautiful as they were in "Gothic 2." It’s an incredible feeling to contemplate vast landscapes or ruins and people in the distance while sitting on a hill, being gently touched by the rays of the sun, with wonderful violin accords in the background. »
« Gothic 3 has an amazingly large world to explore and tons of things to do, but also a lot of rough edges. The AI is slow-witted and the combat system is mere button smashing. Still, with some faith, Myrtana is a great place to get lost into. [Dec 2006, p.82] »
« The vast world offers so much freedom that you could easily think you are lost. But you are not, because you can do whatever the hell you want, so even if you’re not able to complete a quest there will be plenty to keep you occupied until you can. »
« At times gorgeous, at other times frustrating, it's worth persevering with just to bask in its snug atmosphere. »
« Unlike the horrific launch of Dungeon Lords, which eventually revealed that there wasn't much of value beneath the buggy exterior, Gothic 3 has a tremendous world of role-play available for those willing to persevere - and I strongly recommend the game to players in this category, who also have the behemoth computer power needed to run the game in the first place. »
« A technically stunning rehash of "Gothic 2," but that's no bad thing. [Jan 2007, p.82] »
« A good RPG provides players with the opportunity to role-play characters of their choosing through an experience that's ultimately personalized by their decisions. Judged on that basis, this game delivers in spades. [Feb. 2007, p.60] »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« This game is fun but it lacks something in all departaments apart from music from Kai Rosenkranc which is amazing. Story seems to be chopped and lacks coherency, as well as the world presented in the game. It's obvious Piranha Bytes needed a year or two to polish the game. »
« This is not just a game; it's a whole world to live in. Incredible music, complete freedom of choice, and that same old-school "Gothic" spirit that is impossible to forget. Yes, it has its rough edges, but the scale and depth of this story deserve the highest score. A true classic! »

« I've played this game 15 years ago first time and since then I still play it time by time and I love this game so much. I've finished the game in 90hrs like 1.5years ago and the game still looks great. Pros: -Its graphics are way ahead of its time and still looks decent -It has a massive map and there's a lot of things to do and It is so impressive that this whole world was made by hand and they didn't use a world generator(UE5) unlike some games today and this makes the game great because nothing is a coincidence and you will always have enough materials to advance -It has a lot of play time and 3 (at least) different endings -Game doesn't make you do anything, you are allowed to do anything you want. For example, If you wanna kill an NPC, the game doesn't block you or If you don't wanna go Reddock after Ardea(The town at the start) then you can go somewhere else, everything is up to you -Role-play in this game is so good, everything you say and do builds up your relations with the characters and tons of quests. It has 6 factions and you can join any of them or not join any and kill all in the world. There's an important reputation system and it separates to 2; 1 for factions and 1 for each major city/town(Total of 20). If you do simple quests like "Kill bandits" this will increase your reputation in that city. If you do a quest like "Destroy the orc camp" given by a rebel then your reputation in rebels will increase. This is a great system for an RPG game and I really like It -It's musics are literally masterpiece -It has largescale battles where there's maybe 50 NPCs fighting sometimes and ofc It may struggle your pc sometimes but still I think Its impressive -It has different play styles like Melee, Archer, Mage and stealth. Ofc you don't have to choose one and combine them instead. Cons: -When the game released It had tons of bugs and It wasn't finished. I don't know totally how it is but even now the vanilla version of the game still has some bugs and some NPCs doesn't attack in fight and stand there but If you download Community Patch 1.75 It will fix some problems. If you play the game on steam you can download it from the betas section otherwise you should find it on internet -Game's main story is just insufficient »
« Really very bad game. Unacceptable combat system, poor character design, linear gameplay, cliche story - all of this makes Gothic 2 so boring to play. At least, Morrowind is much much better. »
