Contenu brut des sources
Groove Coaster is a series of iOS / Android and arcade rhythm game franchise developed by Matrix Software and published by Taito. The first Groove Coaster was released for iOS on July 28, 2011. The game follows a musical roller coaster-type track on screen, where players must make the appropriate controller inputs. Like many rhythm games, a life bar is attached to the gameplay. Depending on the input timing, players gain or lose points on the long percentage bar at the top-right of the screen.

« I had great fun with GROOVE COASTER FUTURE PERFORMERS, especially with how different it feels to its predecessor; it fills me with energy. »
« Groove Coaster: Future Performers is still a solid entry in the rhythm game series. The base game mechanics provide a fun rhythm game experience for a wide variety of skill levels — if you won't feel overwhelmed by the visuals. The soundtrack remains excellent, as always. The smaller song selection is disappointing, while the main story mode is fine if you can power through an uninteresting tale. Series veterans may come away a little underwhelmed, but newcomers may find this to be an enjoyable first entry before diving into the older but ultimately deeper Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party. »
« Groove Coaster Future Performers is a very interesting entry in the Groove Coaster franchise, but while I had a great time learning each of the songs, the lack of online features was really disappointing. Further, what really bothers me is the fact the Story Mode is incomplete and left on a cliffhanger, making this game unfortunately difficult to recommend. »

« I feel like this game is a huge step backward compared to its predecessor. First off, the song selection screen is a huge step backward. The filtering features are incredibly clunky—they’re nowhere near as good as the old folder system—and the interface looks really cheap. Also, I don’t think the visual presentation of the song charts is nearly as impressive as the previous vertical-screen layout. Plus, I really hate the LR buttons; they ruin the feel of the entire chart, and they’re everywhere. There are way too few songs, and I just don’t get why they decided to abandon the entire 14-year-old song library. »
« First Groove Coaster I’ve ever played, and well… it’s fine I guess? The track list is pretty small (even after unlocking some of the songs), and the characters are pretty uninteresting, however, the core gameplay is a ton of fun, and the different "missions" you can do in Story Mode keeps the game fresh for a bit. Decent, but wait for a sale. »
« To be honest, i had high expectations for this release, as in the early announcement photos, i thought it would be a return to the look and the feel of groove coaster when it first started. but, when the game released, when i found out it had AI, several mistranslations, it felt like the english version was rushed last minute, and the AI was placeholders and just made the game feel slightly unfinished.. Thankfully it HAS gotten better, but i hope they listen to the feedback us players give, and hopefully the game will be up to the height of Wai Wai Party. »
« I got myself a Switch 2 very early, and i was exploring the rhythm games available. I was about to purchase wai wai party but saw the announcement for FP so i decided to wait and get this one instead. I only played the demo for wai wai party and i was expecting the same gameplay but would have never expected them to get rid of the sticks completely, because now it basically plays like Project Diva. I don't understand why they chose to completely erase what made the game fun and recognizable. The story mode is another thing that i was really looking forward to, but sadly it was pretty underwhelming. The game tries its best to make the unique concept of "the groove coaster" something that actually makes sense, and the plot is your typical "I'm gonna be the best!!" shonen thing. Having played story-rich smartphone rhythm games like Project Sekai, this honestly feels like a joke. Not to mention that the story has been left unfinished too and you have to wait for updates. As the other review also points out, the song list is very small, and I'm gonna add that the english translation has typos, spelling mistakes, and formatting issues everywhere. It makes the whole game feel and look really cheap. Also "Goodbye declaration" was wrongly attributed to GUMI despite vFlower being right there in the thumbnail, and it felt disrespectful. »
« I came into this game with high hopes, the last Groove Coaster game on Switch (Wai Wai Party) was really fun, so surely this one will be just as good, right? Then I saw the song list, or rather, the pretty sorry excuse for a song list. It's one of the smallest song lists I've seen in a rhythm game, even factoring in all the unlockable songs. Therein lies another problem, the songs themselves. Some of the genres present in the original are still intact (pop/anime songs, Vocaloid songs, and of course, original songs), but the others were completely erased. I liked playing remixes of various songs from Taito's other games in WWP, but here, did they just forget they made other games? Then there's the new gameplay mechanics. I'm...kinda on the fence about them. I much preferred the original look and mechanics of the game, I don't necessarily think they needed an overhaul, but the new mechanics here can...sometimes be fun? I don't know, they kinda overstayed their welcome and just made me want the original mechanics back. Last, but...sorta least is this game's big new thing, the story mode. ...It's alright. The story itself is okay, the characters are fun...yeah, that's it, really. But something within this mode is what really makes me despise this game. For you see, once you complete the first arc and move on to the second, just as you start to get into it, the game tells you the chapter you're about to start isn't ready yet and you have to wait for an update. Yep, that's right. This game ISN'T EVEN FINISHED. It cost me 80 AUD, by the way. TLDR: Barely any songs, game is unfinished »
