Will you once again don the mantle of the original Necromancer and prove his supremacy, or will you play as the new female up and comer, to show the world the true meaning of the word “power”? Each character has their own distinct weapons, spells, transformation abilities, as well as personality! No matter your choice, the journey will be difficult and fraught with danger, taking you through stunning landscapes - an ancient castle, an arid desert wasteland, a picturesque village and a dreary cave, just to name a few - each brimming with untold threats! Wield enchanted weapons, cast powerful spells and destroy hordes of enemies, only to raise them as undead servants to aid you in battle, as any true Necromancer would!

Quel que soit votre choix, le voyage sera difficile et semé d'embûches, vous faisant traverser des paysages époustouflants - un château ancien, un désert aride, un village pittoresque et une grotte lugubre, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns - chacun regorgeant de menaces indicibles ! Maniez des armes enchantées, lancez de puissants sorts et détruisez des hordes d'ennemis, pour ensuite les transformer en serviteurs morts-vivants qui vous aideront dans la bataille, comme le ferait un vrai nécromancien !
Les sorts préférés des fans du jeu original sont de retour : le sort Tornade qui projette les ennemis dans les airs, l'Anneau de glace qui les enveloppe de givre et la Grenade de la main impie qui les réduit à néant. Mais le nouveau personnage apporte également son propre arsenal : une Dague qui draine la vie, un Bracelet de feu qui crache des boules de feu et une Grenade de l'enfer qui se divise en plusieurs grenades plus petites, sur une zone d'effet immense.
En devenant plus fort, vous pourrez vous transformer en monstres redoutables dotés non seulement de capacités d'attaque brutales, mais aussi de pouvoirs spéciaux qui vous aideront à vous déplacer et à explorer votre environnement : vous faufiler dans des endroits étroits, respirer sous l'eau, marcher sur de la lave ou même voler !
- Incarnez le Nécromancien effronté et vantard du jeu original, ou choisissez un nouveau personnage féminin plus sage, doté d'une panoplie d'armes et de sorts totalement différente.
- Transformez-vous en de puissantes formes monstrueuses dotées de capacités uniques, chaque personnage ayant accès à des transformations différentes.
- Ressuscitez vos ennemis tombés au combat en les transformant en serviteurs morts-vivants pour vous aider dans la bataille, grâce à un système de nécromancie amélioré.
- Interagissez avec l'environnement, notamment avec les arbres inflammables, les tonneaux qui explosent, les vases et les fenêtres qui se brisent, et faites attention aux nouveaux pièges mortels.
- Explorez 24 niveaux étendus dans 3 chapitres distincts de l'histoire.
- Détruisez 26 types d'ennemis différents et vainquez 4 boss redoutables lors d'affrontements épiques.

Un Heretic-Like de qualité ! Belle ambiance, gameplay simple à prendre en main mais efficace, les armes et ennemis sont funs, les maps ne sont pas très labyrinthiques comme dans certains jeux du genre et à la fois très jolies. Une suite sur un moteu...
La suite de Hands of necromancy abandonne le système de hubs impliquant du back-tracking, pour revenir à la recette des Heretic avec des maps indépendantes à la DOOM assez bien faites. Pour le reste, on prend les mêmes et on recommence : même ambianc...

« Hands of Necromancy II is a great example of what a sequel needs to do to succeed. It introduces a new character, complete with a set of weapons and powers, to add variety. It offers first-person shooter mechanics with magic instead of guns that draw inspiration from classics but have their own unique flavor. Raising the dead remains a good concept. The entire experience is squarely aimed at boomer shooter fans with a particular love of Hexen or Heretic. There are moments when the difficulty ramp up is abrupt and level design isn’t always impressive. Hands of Necromancy II understands the genre it's a part of and knows how to mix modern and retro ideas to give fans the complex magic shooter they crave. »
