Mario Kart: Double Dash!! est un jeu de course arcade développé par Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development et édité par Nintendo, sorti sur Nintendo GameCube le 7 novembre 2003. Le titre propose des courses de kart où chaque véhicule accueille deux coureurs pouvant s'échanger les places à tout moment, le personnage à l'avant conduisant tandis que celui à l'arrière utilise six objets classiques et huit objets spéciaux réservés à certains personnages, parmi lesquels figurent Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Peach, Bowser et Koopa. Le jeu offre un mode multijoueur mettant en scène ces héros du Royaume Champignon.
La presse a salué l'expérience, le magazine GMR écrivant que Mario Kart: Double Dash est le jeu le plus amusant de l'année et sans doute des suivantes, tandis que Nintendo Power a vanté des circuits variés, une réalisation 3D soignée et une maniabilité à la hauteur des meilleurs jeux de course de la console. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic décrivent une expérience en solo difficile mais supposent que le jeu prend tout son sens à plusieurs, et d'autres estiment la version riche et son mode bataille réussi. Le score agrégé du titre s'élève à 84,00.

« I LOVE Mario Kart: Double Dash. Everything about this game is PERFECT. As a kid I saw vidoes on it on YouTube and wanted to play it so bad, when I Finnally got old enough to buy things with my own money, I got it. and played it for like an hour and hated the controls and put it down for years. Not until recently i decided to pick it back up. I mastered the controls and got great lap records on every track. The tracks are peak. I love how racing in 150cc is Hell with all the wacky items being tossed at you. If this game could be described in 2 words... "Wacky Chaos" »
