Experience true open-world freedom in Mortal Online - a unique first-person, medieval fantasy, massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

Choose your path!

  • Choose from many different races, decide your own style of play and whether to focus on PvP or PvE, both sharing the same game world.
  • Choose a profession and devote your life to combat, crafting, magic, trading...
  • Discover countless skills, resources and tools, master a few or dabble in them all, or be the first to explore new areas to find hidden treasures and unique secrets.

Live or die!

This game is not for the faint of heart. With "full loot" mechanics, dying means that you risk losing everything you're carrying with you.
Danger is everywhere, safety must be earned. Learn to master real-time, aim-based combat where you decide every move your character makes, and where your skills really matter.

Not quite like any other MMORPG...

  • There are no character levels, only skill levels.
  • There are no PvP zones, only a single open and realistic world where you are free to choose your own path.
  • There are no separate server regions, every player inhabits the same huge world.

Strength in numbers!

  • Build your own house, or create a guild with your friends to build a keep.
  • Expand even more, build a whole city and surround it with defensive walls, or band together to siege and conquer your enemies' fortresses!
  • With enough power, violence or diplomacy, you and your allies will be able to rule an entire nation.

The possibilities are endless!

Unlimited free trial!

Mortal Online offers a free-to-play mode with a skill cap at skill level 60. In order to unlock the maximum skill levels and fully master your Mortal destiny, a paid monthly subscription is needed, but unlike many other games there are no microtransactions. Patch 1.88.00.00 - Haven

Today we finally patch Haven! Haven is a new starting area in Mortal Online that hopes to ease new players into the game in a smoother, safer and more fun way. The first character made on an account will start in this new zone. On Haven players can start their journey guided by several NPCs that teach the new players much more about the different systems that make up our sandbox mmorpg than our old tutorial. Players are protected from full PvP by having a fledgling (yellow) flag for as long as they want. This flag is removed once the player leaves Haven and once you leave Haven you can not come back. The banks in Haven are connected to the banks in Tindrem so players may bring things from Haven to Myrland simply by adding it to a bank and then picking it up in Tindrem. Furthermore we added a guild recruiting system that makes it easier for guilds to get in contact with new players. New players that join a guild will often have a much easier time in the game as they can be guided and supported by veteran players. Every player that leaves Haven also get a chance to re-roll their character. Often new players start off by making one character and then get told that they need to change their build by veterans. This way they can do just that without having to remake their character. See you all in Haven! Patch Notes: Added: Added a new starting Island called Haven, here you can start out your and progress your new characters in a more safe environment. Haven is the only starting point if it’s your first character. Added a new recruit system for guilds. Guilds can now opt in to the haven recruit system from their guild stone. Here the guild can add a short description of their guild and decide to be shown on the Haven guild recruitment UI. Guilds that toggle auto join to ON will be listed in the recruit UI with a Join button. Players on Haven may click this button to instantly join the guild no questions asked. If auto join is off the Haven players will instead be able to contact members of the guild with the contact button. This will send a whisper to the highest ranking online member from the player who requested the contact. Both players may then whisper each other for 5 min. Added a Guild Recruit NPC in Haven that new players can interact with to get in contact with guilds. Added a Mentor NPC in Haven that new players can interact with to get directions and tips about the game. Added a free re-roll token that will be given to players when they leave Haven. (Character bound that can not be traded.) Added support for minion spawning traps on chests. Added training dummies to all Sarducaa cities. Added training dummies to Kranesh and Gaul Kor. Added a no build zone at the Demon Portal. Added a no build zone at Cave Camp. Added a no build zone at the Kimuru Cave. Added a new type of way point to guide new players. Changes: Tindrem has gotten a graphical update! The Great Library in Tindrem is now open, and the Tindrem Librarians have moved inside. All Gates into Tindrem are now open, three more ways that you can now use to leave and enter Tindrem through. Removed the Fledgling timer, you can now stay Yellow for as long as you want while on Haven. But once leaving the Island the Yellow flag will be removed. Help chat timer does not tick on Haven, once you leave it will tick as normal giving you 20H of help chat after leaving Haven. Fledglings leaving guilds will now leave in 60 sec instead of 60 min. Graves and Treasure spots that requires a shovel will now tell you so when trying to pick them up. Fledglings can now be pushed. Lifted the item handling restrictions for fledglings. Turning on shadows now turn on foliage shadows to. Fledgling loot can now only be looted by the owner. (Yellow flagged) Gate Keepers are now static, and can no longer be lured away. Lowered the Thunder egg damage bonus effect when used in Ritual summoned pets, this will affect both old and new pets. Increased the re-spawn timers in risar dungeon to avoid getting risars spawned on players as much. Increased the stamina cost on spear heads to better match dagger heads. Lowered the Pet Point cost on Springboks, Pigs and Bush Pigs to give more low skill tameable creatures. Gathering, Woodcutting and Mining is now faster to skill up. Mental Offense is now a learn by doing skill. Fireball skill level lowered to 10-25 to make it more usable for new mages. Nitre and Sulfur are now available on the reagent vendor to make it easier for new mages to get going. Some of the Kimuru attacks have been re-balanced. All NPC tutors will now increase the skills they teach to 25. Skills and lores will now affect crafted items durability 0-80% (This means for example that an item that can be crafted with a max durability of (100/100) with full skills and lores, will have its max durability at 20% of that (20/20) at 0 skills and lores.). Weapon damage values are now only 0-20% affected by skills and lores when crafting. (This means that a weapon crafted with 0 skill does 80% the damage compared to a 100 skill and lore crafted weapon that does 100%.) Crafting skills and lores still affects material cost and weak spot chance as before. Armor mitigation values are now only 0-20% affected by skills and lores when crafting. (This means that an armor crafted with 0 skill have 80% max mitigation compared to a 100 skill and lore crafted armor that will have 100% of the max mitigation.) Armor weight is no longer affected by skills and lores when crafted. (This means that an armor piece crafted with 0 skills weight the same as the same piece crafted with 100 skills and lores.) Shield mitigation values are now only 0-20% affected by skills and lores when crafting. (This means that a shield crafted with 0 skill have 80% max mitigation compared to a 100 skill and lore crafted shield that will have 100% of the max mitigation.) Shield weight is no longer affected by skills and lores when crafted. (This means that a shield crafted with 0 skills weight the same as the same shield crafted with 100 skills and lores.) Bow damage values are now only 0-20% affected by skills and lores when crafted. (This means that a bow crafted with 0 skill does 80% the damage compared to a 100 skill and lore crafted Bow that does 100%.) Lowered the maximum weight of weapons that mounted fighters can use without receiving Stamina and damage penalties. (Player Strength / 30) Fixes: Fixed some typos. Fixed some missing collision on rocks above the Tindrem maze. Fixed some floating objects around the world. Fixed an aggro issue on the initial Sarducaa Fighting Pit Boss. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/12b56d0d0ca119c48c4738a36ac7409a59fb3de8.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/cde3379bf024b3538e35139dd11bdfd8e2409e9a.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/6a64d656fbf5b1f340f86321fd3ae3e7ae97b690.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/f26687014c2125372483e98a80a5b9a146e73eb2.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/3205d20ee92f3a474a4e122a8e38debdc7157bb6.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/12b56d0d0ca119c48c4738a36ac7409a59fb3de8.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/a8702bdf400712533f85dcb011fb9693082f1a6c.jpg{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/9992801/2b61087684d1bfe3439979bc65501f6c2da8c67c.jpg

« This game is the closest thing to Ultima Online I've found so far. It's full sandbox experience (no epic quests, no purpose if you can't find it for yourself), with full PvP and full loot, where you MUST interaction with other players (either the good and bad interactions- just like in a life- only more ruthless). Yes, there are a lot of griefers who like to kill every player they see, but there are also great people too. If you were playing Ultima Online back then, or some other sandbox MMO and you miss that kind of experience- look no more. If you are a crying sissy who hate everything that isn't as casual as WoW, then don't touch it. My real score would be 8/10. Yes, it's not perfect, but it's also doesn't deserve that all hate what kids are throwing on it- that's why I submitted 10/10. »

« Tried and got ganked on 2nd day by RPK guildee. Not worth the time. It does have a history of corrupt GM's, players that have a monetary interest in the company and management that ignores continued cheating and exploits as "emergent". »

« Overly ambitious combat design, which failed badly and honestly looks like they were lazy with it. Got stuck in the tutorial, too, the game wouldn't let me progress. To be good in combat is akin to cheating. The lag is too much to make sense of anything, and the sword swinging animations look like the worst tearing ever is happening and that's WITH V-SYNC ON. There's no point to mention the pros, the cons far far outweigh them. »

« this game is a hack Epic was the owner of the game but dropped it cause they had nothing but complaints about hacks and cheats which is still allowed in game. I had a player out run me on foot and I was on a desert horse with 50 speed and it is amazing the range the archery and magic spells totally kills the foot fighter or horseback fighter you get killed in 2 hits. they allow all cheat macros and every exploit in the game they even allow grown drunk men to sexually harass women and they call this free play and legal. I feel sorry for any woman playing that game it get disgusting with the chat in game »

« This game is a joke. It seems like an unfinished college kid's project, not a game that should be paid for, let alone have a subscription model - it's criminal. Frankly, the few hours I spent "playing" the game were enough of my life taken. Read the other reviews, I'm done with this pile. »

BannedFromMO 0/10

« I've played Mortal Online for over two years. I loved the game and accepted all of the flaws, which there are many, but understood how hard it must be for an indie game company to take on such a huge project like MO. I have come here to warn any potential players of this game. The Mod team is ridiculously corrupt. The game runs terribly. They are currently being Ddos'd because of their corruption and although some see the up and coming expansion as a light at the end of a dark tunnel I can tell you it's just to make back some of their cash before the company completely falls in on it's self. Like I said, after playing for two years and paying hundreds of dollars into this game for multiple accounts I was banned. No reason was given, the ban said it was for seventy two hours but after weeks of waiting and being ignored by their Lead Game Mod Discord I gave up on even trying to communicate with them about why I was banned and if it would be lifted at any point. Please, for the love of all that is nerdy and game **** NOT HELP THIS COMPANY. I am not the only one affected by their staff corruption. You can find it all over the place. The game is very unique and interesting. I would of most likely played it until the company went bankrupt, but with this ban I feel as though I was betrayed by some one I cared deeply for. Their staff is the least professional group of egotistical ass hats I have ever encountered in a game world and because of them a great idea will burn and never see fruition. »

« I have followed his game since start. And i must say this is a fantastic start of a swedish MMORG Saga. All new continents filled with new stuff to explore. New AI. New NPC. A very working PvP system. A in game felling that transcends my old gaming favorite Ultima Online. Im am now becoming a HARDCORE Mortal Online Gamer! My character is also the joy, with free level practice and much more to explore. »

Loltroll 10/10
