Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 5

« I played it start to finish in three sittings, have played it extensively in other capacities while working on this review, and still can't wait to go back and play through it again cooperatively on higher difficulties to open up more of its goodies. If that's not the definition of a fine action game, I don't know what is. »
« The co-op implementation is great and the extra unlockable provides more than enough incentive to play the game through multiple times. If the controls don't bother you, anybody can have a great time playing through this adventure. »
« The gorgeous graphics, the superb sound, the great (if sometimes twitchy) AI of your partner and the jaw-dropping gameplay take everything that was brilliant about Resident Evil 4 and ramp it up to the next level, making for one of the best gaming experiences ever! »
« After beating the game every way possible in each and every mode (in co-op and on the solo) we can honestly say that we want more, more zombie killing please? »
« While lacking in any real puzzles at all compared to the confusing tests of the Playstation days, RE5 is not only a masterful piece of gaming experience but also technical art. Probably one of the best looking games on next-gen consoles to date. It has a story that is still gripping, if not outrageous, and gameplay that has me wanting to finish this review up to play some more! »
« Co-op changes your approach to survival horror, and the masterful pacing ensures you never take your eye off the action. Like its predecessor, Resident Evil 5 is destined to be remembered as one of the best games of its time. »
« RE5 will no doubt please those who unknowingly unleashed hell when they pried open the doors of that mysterious mansion more than ten years ago. But it should also satisfy unseasoned zombie slayers as well with its rich mix of gory action, creepy storytelling, and blockbuster production values. »
« Resident Evil 5 digs deep into the series' origins with its overall story and slightly enhances the overall addicting gameplay that left its mark with Resident Evil 4. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Not a huge fan of this one but there was some good things like Wesker as a villian was amazing »
« Love the action and the cheese. I miss the horror elements of the old games. »
« The new storyline involving Chris and the development of Wesker’s arc are excellent. However, the absence of key elements of the Resident Evil series – such as the atmosphere of mystery, constant unease, fear and the sense of playing under pressure – is obvious. Huge hordes of enemies become tiresome after just a few hours, and the classic horror atmosphere is replaced by cheap thrills. It isn’t necessarily a bad game. However, for me, it’s simply a bad Resident Evil game. Were it not for the storyline and cutscenes i would give it 3 out of 10 »
« When this game came out I honestly was not interested in playing it even though resident evil was one of my favs. I eventually did get the gold edition or whatever and beat it. Thought it was alright. Didn’t like it. Don’t remember playing it so many years later I actually forgot the entire story and gameplay. So I thought maybe I should check it out and see if I remember, and this game is indeed actually really good. The music is good. The characters are good. The graphics are really good. To say it’s not resident evil I would have to argue since it’s expanding from 4 which took a huge change but resident evil has always evolved and I think it’s not perfect and as a true fan have been let down for over 20 years but playing this again I can see the passion and I like it. »
« Please bring a remake; playing the game is torture, especially the opening. I deducted a lot of points, and I gave 4 points because I like Albert Wesker, otherwise it would be unplayable. »
« This is one of the worst games I have played. I'm not even lying. It has everything I hate in a game. Terrible co-op AI, rampant QTEs, terrible plot, gimmicky boss battles,. Wesker is not a good RE villain. I wish they would just drop his stupid a$$. He was terrible in the movies and is terrible in the games. »
