Description (IGDB)

Panting, scared, the shelter airlock smashes down behind you. You wish you did not have to go outside, but you do. It would be easier to give up. But you don’t. The hardship, the hunger, the thirst. The fear. You keep reminding yourself why you stay alive. Why you do this. Then you hear it. “Daddy, you’re back.” You wife’s face lights up and you open a bag full of medical supplies. You need not tell her how you got them. You simply enjoy your small victory in this, the harshest of times. In the post-apocalyptic world, you must keep your family alive in your underground bunker in this deep strategy game from Unicube… Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic disaster management game that gives a whole new meaning to the term “nuclear family”. Given a head-start over the billions lost in a nuclear holocaust, you must gather as many supplies as possible en route to the concrete underground shelter that will soon become your family home for the foreseeable dreary future. With all hope lost, how will you cope in this bleak new world? How you handle the many moral choices you’ll encounter on a daily basis could be the difference between your family surviving or dying. Combat claustrophobia, radiation and mental exhaustion as you cling desperately to life in the cramp, cold and scary underground shelter. You’ll have to leave the scant protection the shelter offers behind as you’re forced to venture outside into the dangerous desolate wasteland to scavenge for vital supplies which could ensure your family’s survival for just one more day.

Avis des critiques et joueurs

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

games(TM) 90/100

« If you enjoyed last year’s iOS/Android sleeper Fallout Shelter, but wanted more complexity, less predictable combat and a greater sense of achievement even in abject failure, look no further. »

TheSixthAxis 80/100

« Sheltered is a well crafted game that is quite tough at first to make progress in, but once you’re used to its systems there can be a rewarding experience. »

Digitally Downloaded 80/100

« Sheltered is like a premium version of Fallout Shelter, and it's a far more thematically compelling proposition. I love that it makes you be quite ruthless in your efforts to keep your family alive, but then allows you to feel awful when they die. It's less humanising than The War of Mine, which is the most readily comparable game out there at the moment, but it's intense for its own, valuable, reasons. »

Games Master UK 79/100

« A brutal fight for survival that's one part The Sims, one part roguelike, and three parts despair. [May 2016, p.66] »

Vandal 70/100

« Sheltered is a interesting game if you want to face a challenge. Sometimes the design doesn't work as expected, but it still is a good option within the genre. »

PlayStation Universe 70/100

« Sheltered depicts the grim, unpleasant side of the post-apocalypse to great effect for its limited resources. That doesn’t stop the game from getting frustratingly repetitive though as there’s simply not enough variety in the game’s opening hours. »

IGN Spain 70/100

« Sheltered is a complex post-apocalyptic simulator that relies too much on its randomness, being too unfair too many times. »

Areajugones 70/100

« Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic game that uses minimalist art to achieve the sensation of getting into the atmosphere. It is a unique game whose objective is to survive another day gathering resources, updating our buildings… An indie that everyone who likes strategy must play at least once. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

AbdullahOT 10/10

« لعبة جميلة . استمتع فيها جداً انصح فيها للي يحب النوع هذا من الالعاب أو العاب البقاء أو اللي يحب This War of Mine »

Nel 5/10

« The game has a nice premises, but lacks on the execution, as it feels very repetitive, and building up your base is more a pain of managing your inventory than it is to actually enjoying it. After just a few tries it will feel very repetitive and rng based (which isn't always a bad thing, but in this game it is) »
