le jeu est sympa mais pas tres poussé, disons qu'on a aucun control sur les unitées en combat (logique vous allez me dire vu que c'est de l'auto battler donc le coeur du jeu), les cartes je les trouve peu interessante avec finalement peu de changemen...

Community Tournament - Win the Songs of Silence artbook!

Greetings Commanders! We just released Songs of Silence v1.9.3, and we're happy to hear your positive feedback on the latest balancing. For this reason, we decided to host a new community tournament! The prize on the table is one of our biggest works of craft, not available in any store (yet): a physical copy of the Songs of Silence artbook. ✨ The real thing, held in your hands, full of Art Nouveau goodness! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43578526/a4aa62bd560a72d7ed26f57c18297b5b2d216568.jpg 📜 The Rules Every match must be played with the Clearsight and Three Minute Turns Fates active. A third Fate can be added if all players involved in the match agree upon it. The map should be set to medium size and random, but again, if all players agree on a custom map, that can be used as well. You are given 72 hours to play each match. Of course, come to us if you and your opponent don't find a time slot to play, and we'll figure out a solution together. You can only use each Hero Vocation once within the whole tournament. For instance, if you play your first match with Lorelai, you cannot use Lorelai in the following matches. 📋 How to Sign Up Reach out to Gigi (@nonsoup461) on our Discord server, or just leave a comment here if you prefer! See you on the battlefield. 🖤 The Songs of Silence Team

Try Hard Guides 90/100

« Songs of Silence offers a game that is fun enough to play and impossible to put down, easily captivating players with its unique world, interesting concepts, and phenomenal art. »

Impulsegamer 86/100

« There are certainly some lovely elements here. The visuals are a nice change from a lot of what is out there. The gameplay swings between simple enough for people new to the genre to get into and arguably quite repetitive (fortunately there is a fast forward option for battles… so you can use your specialty cards then set to max speed until you can use them again). Some of the mechanics are a bit annoying (I hate being able to take a city/town, only to have it in enemy hands at the start of the next story element… if you knew it was going to be in enemy hands at the start of the next story segment… don’t let me take it beforehand). It’s not super expensive so it could be a good option for those wanting to get into strategy gaming… but hardened gamers might find it too simplistic or even frustrating at times. »

GameGrin 85/100

« Songs of Silence is a solid 4x strategy game to play nearing the end of the year, or, cheaper, simply listen to its official soundtrack. Either way, the player will get their money’s worth. »

Games.cz 80/100

« Songs of Silence is a well-crafted strategy game that brings a refreshing breeze to the genre, though some changes come at the cost of deeper city-building mechanics. It delivers a solid campaign and highly entertaining skirmish mode, all wrapped in a stunning visual style inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s illustrations and complemented by an excellent soundtrack. Instead of hundreds of hours, expect higher tens, during which you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself, testing new cards and unlocking heroes in a beautiful, poetic world. »

TheSixthAxis 80/100

« Songs of Silence is a beautiful and engaging 4X auto-battler blend, whose unique approach will sweep you up for hours on end. »

Malditos Nerds 80/100

« Songs of Silence is an experience that offers an accessible entry point into the 4X strategy genre with a fun and dynamic approach, featuring top-notch visuals and sound. »

GameStar 74/100

« Songs of Silence manages to convince with fresh ideas, but their implementation still reveals weaknesses. »

« Songs of Silence is absolutely amazing! This is already my favorite genre, but adding that auto-battle twist? That is a genuinely brilliant idea. As for the story—well, it’s great! Perhaps because I am already so deeply in love with the gameplay, it makes the story feel even more **** only minor complaint is that the factions still feel a bit limited. The game would be absolutely perfect if we could get more factions and deeper lore added to the world. But please, please, please, do NOT change the core gameplay mechanics if not better. It is already so perfect for me! »

« TL;DR: Beautiful style but not fun to play. Starting off with the excellent, that is without a doubt the Artistic Style: Visually, this is a uniquely crafted world that is brimming with beauty. The colour palette is fantastical and the character designs are heroicly charming and at times grotesquely creative. The soundtrack is also gorgeously epic and can stand tall independetly. The voice acting is the first section of the game that I felt was out of place. The main characters such as Lorelai and Akard have strong US accents (you can add Pip to that too) and they just sound so jarring in terms of the games overall theme and tone. The surrounding characters as whole sound great. Moving on to the good which is the card building and via extension the army composition and city building: The card building adds a unique flavour to this genre of gaming and overall it is implemented well. Card building is intertwined with basic city building, recruitment, army composition, and okay depth with regards to battle mechanics and Hero evolution. Then there is the decent aspects of the game which is the auto-battling and the lore and worldbuilding: The battles initially feel pretty good but soon they become quite shallow. Despite there being a range of unit cards and battle cards, combat itself with differing units still feel quite stale and similar to one another and I am not too sure as to why that is the case. I think it is because the battle cards are mostly generic and not specific to the type of unit that could help certain compositions feel distinctive. Furthermore, Heroes just feel very boring and lack impact within the battlefield. Even after upgrading them, not a single Hero felt spectacular. As for the worldbuilding, they have a great foundation. There are some really creative ideas that seem to have been borne out of Christianity and hymn singing. However, it has not been baked long enough. It needs more depth and the characters especially could benefit greatly from more development time and personality arcs. Finally, highlighting the bad, which to me makes the game really quite unpleasant to play is a combination of gameplay loop, poor battle mechanics (stealth, frequent retreats, trial and error), bad pacing, and frustrating mission structure: Firstly, gameplay loop and battle mechanics. The game involves a lot of moving with your army from point to point and it can feel quite sluggish at times when you want a quick session. This is made to feel worse due to some forced stealth! Mission 2 is so dumb that you have to stealth your army all the way through to finish the mission. It is not even hard, just frustrating to the point that it betrays common sense. It is so bad that it seems like they updated it to be able to skip this mission, thankfully. Then in the penultimate mission 7 there is another forced stealth section! Hooray! Once again, the mechanics and rules of this mission just forego common sense. Your army will be in full stealth and the enemy will still be alerted due to specific mission structures and conditions that must be met by the player. They want to teach stealth because otherwise traversing the map feels like a Pokemon battle with a fight occuring every 10 steps. This leads to other particular battle mechanics/battle ideology that holds the same frustration as forced stealth in equivalence. This game involves a lot of trial and error, and that is not a bad thing in and of itself. As someone who plays Civ, CK, other strategy games, and roguelikes I am fine with trial and error. But Songs of Silence seems to have this concept of trial and error baked into the core philosophy of their gameplay loop. For instance, retreating in combat is taught early on, and if you don't use it frequently then your units will be decimated. This will just prolong your completion of objectives as you will have to wait to heal your Hero and then spend resources to rebuild your army. I personally, find this to be a bit of a joykill and unintuitive. Additionally, this more often than not has to be done against bosses even if you have amassed a high level army and max level Heros, as you can initiate a battle with one Hero and then retreat and finish off the enemy with another Hero. It just doesn't feel heroic to do it in such a way. It would have been far more meaningful if all our armies could combine together for a final fight in each mission. Lastly pacing and mission structures. Mission 2 and 7 have been mentioned already as frustrating but Mission 4 takes the cake and may even define this game. It is so frustrating and annoying that the devs themselves made a guide on Steam on how to beat it. It has horrible pacing as it introduces a new Hero, with new city building mechanics, new recruitment methods, on a tight map were enemy attacks are coming from all entry/exit points of your capital city. The only way to succeed is to follow a specific pattern as mentioned by the devs! »

« Limited troop stack number is a HUGE mistake and why I dislike this game so much. Stacking tons of skellies with the necro was my favourite gameplay in Heroes of Might & Magic 3. They try to punish the player, force us into a certain playstile and it's just not fun and limiting. Ignore this game and go back to play HoMM 3. »

TomTheViking 9/10

« Amazing graphics, great storyline and a huge diversity infactions and units. The game is still new, more updates will bring more content, but even now I am very satisfied with what the game offers. »

BigT1254 2/10

« The only positive thing I can say about this game is that the art was top notch. Rest of the game just wasn't that fun. Played through the whole campaign and the card system, base setup and two factions really didn't make for a fun experience. I can't even remember what the name for both races were or what anybody's name was and I'm only after finishing the game. Just an unforgettable story with frustrating game mechanics that I did not enjoy. 2/10 wouldn't hymn again :( »

djjack 10/10

« Simply the best strategy I've played in 2024. A combustible mixture of 4 strategies, an autobattler and a card deck builder. It plays fresh and is similar to Legendary Creatures 2, with the only difference being that there is a full-fledged campaign and a network game, which I have long asked for in a similar genre and have not seen anywhere else. There is also stunning art and brilliant music on the level of John Williams and a Hollywood blockbuster. Unique units, unique heroes, of which there are as many as 28 classes, the ability to improve cards. And the gameplay for each race is so radically different, as if I was given Protoss after humans. The differences are far from in appearance and numbers. I recommend it to all fans of classics like Age of Wonders 2, Warlords 4, Disciples 2 and Dominions 4. Masterpiece! »

dexter_deluxe 10/10

« An incredible strategy game that truly hooked me from the start. Even in early access you can see and feel that the team had a lot of commitment to make the game stand out. The mix of turn-based kingdom management and real-time battles are an interesting take on the genre. The Art Nouveau-inspired visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack perfectly complements the fantasy setting. Great narrative, **** and each faction offers unique gameplay experiences. A plus: Developers are actively engaging with the community. Highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates games that were made with love <3 »

Lanxil 10/10

« This game is beautiful and addictive as I always want to play the next turn to see how my decisions help to make my kingdom grow. It is a lot of fun making decisions that help an optimal economy and identifying crucial cities that need to be fought for. Then there is the layer of battle simulator where one can play with army formation setups and find synergies with hero abilities. On top of that there are so many mechanics that allow for different solutions to a threat, like hiding armies in the forest as a trap or the fact that locations in between mountains remain accessible from one side while under occupation from the other. Learning all this in the campaign with a cool story and world and then using it at higher difficulties or skirmishes is a blast! Paired with satisfying visuals, good voice acting and a score that sticks with you makes this a joy to play! »
