« Unambitious, easy, and rather brief, Tasomachi still does an admirable job of succeeding at what it sets out to do. With lovely visuals, tight controls, and plenty of relaxing exploration, it's hard to walk away as anything but charmed. »
« Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight may be an “unpolished” game, but that lack of polish is exactly what makes it such an interesting and enjoyable game to explore. The lack of finesse doesn’t break the game or detract from the experience, but it does add so much to the atmosphere and character of the world. It’s a nice, relaxing way to enjoy the collect-them-all nature of classic 3D platformers, but more than that, it’s a wonderful, mysterious place that’s easy to get lost in—not in spite of its rough edges, but because of them. »
« In a market where games are defined by either an intense combat system, a deep narrative, or both, there’s a place for relaxing experiences like TASOMACHI. The story and gameplay keep it simple and manages to achieve its desired pace and style. The surprising depth and detail of the game’s gorgeous landscapes are strained by the lack of variety and meaningful characters – leaving the areas full of exploration potential but devoid of life. Despite this, the game succeeds in building a chilled-out, unique world for players to immerse themselves in. »
« Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is nice and relaxing—and that's about it. While the game is nice to look at and listen to, there's very little challenge and, for a collect-a-thon, I can see where that can turn some people off. If you don't mind a simple game then the budget price tag might not seem too high. But if you're looking for a challenge, you definitely won't find it here. »
« Tasomachi is an atmospheric 3D platformer collectathon that succeeds in the area, but there’s a massive lack of polish, making me feel like it’s wasn’t ready to be released. I can see what this experience was aiming for, which is said as an accomplishment to the single developer who created it. However, a lot of optimization and options need to be added for this adventure to be considered finished. Still, it’s possible to have fun and overlook the flaws, but they are glaringly apparent by taking a step back. »
« Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is a fairly rote 3D platformer with some great music and a nice aesthetic. While the controls feel floaty and there are numerous other annoyances, there’s still fun to be had exploring the intricate towns. »
« Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight doesn’t feel really complete, but it entertains the player with its simplicity. »
« TASOMACHI’s technical execution can be rough in certain respects, and more challenge-hungry players might be put off by the game's quieter collect-a-thon tone. However, those looking for something a bit more soothing might take interest in the colorful and calm world of TASOMACHI: Behind The Twilight. »

« Tasomachi is an absolutely gorgeous game. Definitely slow-paced and “cozy,” forgoing action and combat for a sense of satisfaction gained through puzzles and platforming, both of which get progressively more difficult as you progress. The game encourages exploration of the beautiful and intricate settings, though everything obtainable is fairly obviously lit up for the player. Abilities are granted as you progress, making areas in earlier stages that were previously inaccessible now open for completion. It’s a gentle but fairly challenging game that, for me personally, felt very fulfilling. Add the lovely graphics and music, and it truly is a memorable experience! I’m currently on my second playthrough after initially completing it a year ago— I find it still brings about a similar sense of wonder and awe as I explore its stunning towns. I highly recommend it, though understand it certainly won’t be for everyone. »
