Description Steam (Français)

You are on a boat at sea.

Also, you are dead.

To figure out why, you will need to inhabit the other residents of the ship and use them to investigate what led to your untimely demise. As a ghost, you can take control of characters in the game, and talk to others - based on who you are controlling and who you are talking to, there is a unique conversation. With each combination of characters leading to a different interaction based on their relationship or chemistry, your challenge is to find the interactions that will reveal pertinent information. Understand what makes your shipmates tick, and uncover the secrets that they hold.

  • Investigate an intricate mystery where few are who they seem and everyone has a secret.

  • Meet nine unique and developed characters, with their own personal fears and ambitions.

  • Use your ghost powers to possess bodies and read minds.

  • Recover your former identity to upgrade your ghastly powers.

  • Unlock multiple endings and decide the fate of the story.

The game also features an amazing soundtrack by Bill Kiley.

Version 1.3.1

Full change-log: The game's language can now be changed in-game within the menu - just select English or Russian at any point in the new "Languages" tab! You may have to enter/leave a save file, or at worst restart the game, for these changes to take effect. Collision has been reworked, adding smooth movement when walking into corner tiles. No more getting snagged on one pixel of a wall! With the collision rework, you can now go near Gwen's axe or the pillow in Xu's room without being launched out of the playable area Made collision around some of the stairs more forgiving, so NPCs don't get stuck in them (still monitoring this to make sure other related issues don't emerge) When the user selects a new resolution, a confirmation message pops up that the user has to respond to, otherwise the game will revert to the original resolution. For those that have resolutions that aren't in the settings list, or for whom the resolutions are a bit off, a "Detect ideal resolution" option has been added to settings which should set the game to the size of the user's current resolution. Full screen buttons are now accessible by controller/keyboard A couple of small visual issues have been fixed - for example, while Xu is following you and cannot be interacted with, a speech bubble does not appear. Some longstanding typos have finally been fixed Fixed minor issues with Darryl/Alton mindreading Fixed issues with observation window / outside scenery not displaying properly when the time of day transitions Changed Quella's theme in chapter 3 temporarily to remove probably the most jarring/out of place musical transition in the game. Her theme will go back to normal after a certain point Made it so you can't keep looping through a critical piece of dialogue with Xu in chapter 4 over and over Made it so a certain important dialogue option with Marcurio doesn't appear until certain criteria have been met The previous version of the game is still available. To access it, just opt into the build by right clicking the game and following the prompts: Properties -> Betas -> "Select the beta you would like to opt into" -> "previousbuild". Since one of the changes was integrating the Russian version of the game into the base and allowing it to be selected through the menu, the separate Russian build of the game has been removed - this means that selecting Russian in the "Languages" tab will not impact the game anymore. Lastly, unfortunately these changes are currently only available in the Windows version of the game for the time being. Thanks again to everyone for continuing to wonder why you're dead (at sea)! - Patrick

Russian localization

Hi everyone! I'm happy to say that the game now has a Russian version available through Steam for windows. It's been a little while since I've worked with Steamworks and this is my first time adding support for another language, so hopefully it goes smoothly! To access it, you should be able to change the selected language in the "Language" tab within the game properties. Unfortunately, this is exclusive to Windows for the time being. Ideally, in the future it would be possible to change languages in-game, which would also make it easier to bring this version to Mac. I can't take any credit for this update at all as it was entirely fan-created. I'm incredibly grateful to Dicur3x for all of his hard work in translation, as well as the effort of all those who helped him in localizing all of the other text assets in the game. WAIDAS is obviously very dialogue-heavy and was not really built with ease-of-modding in mind, so this was not a small task at all. I'm honestly impressed and flattered that they put in the work to make the game available in this language and I can only apologize for not having made the results of their hard work accessible through Steam much much sooner than I have. And thank you everyone for still trying to figure out why you're dead at sea after all this time.
