WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role
Sorti le 21 novembre 2000 sur PlayStation, WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role est un jeu de sport développé par Yuke's et édité par THQ. Le jeu place le joueur dans une expérience WF débridée, avec des combats sur le ring, dans les coulisses, dans le salon VIP ou sur le parking du nouveau WF New York. Le mode Tornado Tag Team fait son apparition, et il est possible d'utiliser tables, échelles et chaises pour rendre les affrontements plus violents.
La presse a globalement bien accueilli le jeu. Games Radar a salué « A fantastically comprehensive and playable wrestling sim », tandis que Hot Games a vu en lui « One of the best wrestlers on the PlayStation », louant son action rapide, ses graphismes et son gameplay. Le jeu affiche une note agrégée de 80,69.
Du côté des joueurs, les avis sont plus mitigés. Un joueur a apprécié la rapidité et le côté fun de la série SmackDown, comparée aux autres franchises de catch plus lentes et méthodiques. Un autre estime au contraire que si l'on retire la licence SmackDown, il ne reste rien, évoquant l'un des pires « must play » de Metacritic.

« The smackdown series games were very fast and fun compared to the other wrestling franchises, that focused on a much slower and methodic game play. SmackDown 2 had easy to memorize moves and intuitive fighting system and a story mode with custom characters was like a dream come true.
