League of Legends

27 octobre 2009

Gameplay de League of Legends

1UP 91/100

« The biggest change to the formula, however, is the persistence of your player as a "Summoner," not to be confused with the 30-odd in-game characters, which get a clean slate at the start of every match. »

« Free to play and addictive as hell, League of Legends delivers a really entertaining, competitive environment for RTS twitch players. »

Cheat Code Central 90/100

« Getting hooked up with players in the lobby is about as easy as it gets. The matches are short enough and challenging enough to suit virtually all skill levels. The time I spent with this game has been fun, and with a good community base, it can only get better with time. »

« There are always some people online you can fight with! If you liked the mod GOTA for Warcraft III, you will definitely love this game! »

« Balance is **** for Riot.

« Avoid this game at all costs. The optimization is completely broken. During a recent patch, the game froze my entire Windows 11 PC on the loading screen. It locked up so badly that I couldn’t even open Task Manager to force-close it, forcing me to do a hard hardware reset. To make it worse, once my PC restarted, the Riot Client literally blocked me from logging back in to rejoin the active match. I had to sit there and wait for the match to end, only to be slapped with an automatic queue penalty for "AFK." The game breaks your computer, locks you out of fixing it, and then punishes you for it. Save your sanity and your hardware—stay away. »

« (2000+ hours) I install the game, first launch VANGAURD ERROR. Restart pc. Queue ARAM, find game, VANGAURD ERROR. 10 MIN PENALTY. I uninstall the game. TO EVERYONE.... DO NOT PLAY THIS TRASH »

« League of Legends is a game I believe deserves a very low score, not because of a momentary outburst or a bad day, but because of fundamental design issues that undermine what competitive games should provide: enjoyment, fair challenges, and a meaningful sense of progression. Before addressing the game itself, it is important to establish context. I started my journey through Wild Rift, League of Legends' mobile counterpart, where I reached Master rank. While ranking systems differ between Wild Rift and PC League, this achievement demonstrates that I am not simply a frustrated player looking for excuses. Throughout my time with both versions, I frequently recorded matches with 15, 20, or more kills, proving that I understand the game's fundamentals and competitive **** first warning to new players is simple: do not play League of Legends if your goal is to build a social community or organically form teams. The game offers surprisingly few systems that encourage meaningful social interaction, and success often depends on whether matchmaking places you alongside teammates willing to play **** of League's biggest weaknesses is how heavily it favors pre-made groups. Players with direct voice communication gain a significant advantage over teams composed entirely of strangers. Real-time coordination allows basic plays to become overwhelmingly effective against opponents who lack the same communication tools, creating an uneven competitive environment for solo **** situation becomes even worse in organized team modes, where pre-made groups face players with little or no existing chemistry. At that point, a solo player's influence becomes increasingly limited. You are often expected to compete against coordinated teams while relying entirely on random teammates who have never played together before.Because of this, I have become convinced that matchmaking often prioritizes engagement over competitive integrity. Whether Riot Games openly acknowledges such systems or not, the experience frequently feels engineered to create cycles of satisfaction and frustration. One match feels fair and rewarding; the next feels completely **** most frustrating aspect is that individual performance often feels irrelevant. I have experienced games where I secured over twenty kills while teammates contributed very little. At that point, it becomes difficult to believe that progression is determined solely by personal improvement.League of Legends also lacks features that could significantly improve the player experience. A rematch system would allow evenly matched teams to immediately play again and better determine whether victory resulted from teamwork, champion selection, or individual skill. Such a system would provide clearer insight into whether victory resulted from superior teamwork, champion selection, individual skill, or simply favorable matchmaking. Competitive games thrive on rivalries, yet League rarely allows them to develop naturally.Another major issue is how the game handles players who abandon matches. A single teammate leaving can effectively destroy the experience for everyone else. While advanced AI replacements may not be realistic, some form of automated control could reduce the damage caused by abandoned **** game also does a poor job of educating newcomers. To truly understand League of Legends, players often spend countless hours watching guides, tournaments, and external tutorials. A competitive game should challenge players, but it should not require extensive outside research merely to understand its core mechanics.Ultimately, League of Legends feels designed primarily for players who already have established friend groups, regular teammates, and voice communication. For solo players, especially adults with careers and limited gaming time, the experience can feel increasingly hostile. Not everyone has a dedicated group of friends available every evening to coordinate ranked **** result is a game where victories are often one-sided, defeats are frequently frustrating, and genuinely balanced matches feel rarer than they should. The moments of true competitive excitement—those close games decided by intelligent decisions and strategic execution—are too often overshadowed by stomps, abandoned matches, and inconsistent matchmaking.League of Legends undoubtedly possesses deep mechanics, an impressive esports scene, and years of accumulated content. However, these strengths cannot fully compensate for a system that too often prioritizes player retention over competitive **** you are looking for a game that consistently rewards your time, fosters organic community building, and provides balanced competitive experiences, I cannot recommend League of Legends. »

« Worst customer support I have ever seen in my life. I refuse to play this game ever again. There was a time long ago this game was decent, it has fallen so far. »

« The matchmaking is appallingly bad at lower ELO and you will repeatedly be stuck in teams with people who are absolutely terrible at the game. Plus the game is extremely toxic in terms of the chats. Riot seem to not give a single thought to how a halfway decent player is going to make it out of low ELO hell, and no an "honour" system doesn't make up for the people who throw games, int, rage, and generally make this experience extremely annoying. I can honestly say I'm completely uninterested in every playing this game again and would strongly, strongly suggest anyone thinking about trying it out should absolutely not do so. »
